Meet The Clinic Cats

MEET OUR CATS!

Most veterinarian hospitals have clinic cats.  We presently have five very special kitties with their own unique personalities.  They are so important to us that we wanted to make sure you met them too!

TAZ

Taz came to us when his owner could no longer care for him.  We expected that he would need time to adjust, but he walked into Southside and was right at home.  He is a greeter!  You may find yourself coming face to face with him in the waiting are as he welcomes you.  He enjoys sleeping at the Front Desk in our staff chair and we usually don't have the heart to make him leave.

SWEETIE

Sweetie hangs out at the Front Desk and the Front Door.  He truly lives up to his name because he endears himself to everyone who meets him.  Sweetie came to us when a client found him with a broken leg from a gun wound.  He was in a cast for months and we all fell in love with him.  We asked our client if we could keep him.  He likes junk food and loves to nose around in purses that sit on the counter during check-out.

KITKAT

Our longest cat in residence, KitKat came to us as a rescue with a severe skin disorder.  She enjoys living primarily in the treatment area of the hospital.  She is very much her own cat.  She lives to taunt dogs who are in a run as she walks the tightrope of the bars above.  She is selective in who she associates with in the feline family.  You can often find her nestled asleep in a pile of towels or sheets.

BRITCHES

When we first met her "Britches" was "Little Britches", but she left the little behind.  Britches has had nine homes and just can't seem to find the right human to love her.  She lived happily in Louisville for over a year in a retirement center with a wonderful woman, who gave her love and attention.  This owner died and no one wanted this affectionate, vocal kitty, so she came back to us at Southside.  We keep looking and hoping because she deserves the best.  Recently, she has become fascinated with the label maker at the Front Desk and waits patiently to attack the labels as they are printed.

Callie Patches came to us after her owner died.  She is an older girl and a bit shy.  She enjoys her daily naps on the back of "her" stuffed animal.  She loves the sunlight and gazing out the front door after everyone  has left for the day.
